Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Style Guru application and website (the "Service"), operated by Style Guru ("we", "us"), an independent software business operated from the United Kingdom. By installing Style Guru from the Shopify App Store or using www.styleguru.io you agree to these terms.

The service

Style Guru provides an AI-powered stylist and concierge chat widget for Shopify stores, including product recommendations, size estimation, order-status answers, lead capture and a merchant dashboard. Features vary by subscription plan.

Accounts and eligibility

You need an active Shopify store to use Style Guru. You authorise us to access your store's data through the permissions requested at install. You are responsible for the accuracy of your store content, which the assistant relies on when answering customers.

Fees, trials and cancellation

• Subscriptions are billed through the Shopify Billing API and appear on your Shopify invoice. Prices are listed on our website and App Store listing.
• Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that includes 50 AI conversations; no charge is made if you cancel within the trial.
• Cancel any time by downgrading in the app or uninstalling; charges already incurred for the current billing period are not refunded except where required by law.
• Each plan includes a monthly AI-message allowance; when it is exhausted, the widget's browse features continue and AI chat resumes at the next period or on upgrade.

AI output

The assistant generates responses automatically from your catalogue, policies and the conversation. Recommendations and size estimates are provided in good faith as guidance, not as guarantees — occasional errors are inherent to AI systems. You are responsible for your store's policies, pricing, and final decisions communicated to customers. We design the assistant to say "I'm not sure" and hand off to you rather than invent answers.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful, deceptive or harmful use, and no use to process data you have no right to process.
• No attempts to reverse engineer, overload, or circumvent metering or security of the Service.

Intellectual property

We own the Service and its software. You own your store's data. You grant us the licence to process your store data solely to provide the Service. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product.

Availability and support

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees. Support: support@styleguru.io — we respond within one business day.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On uninstall, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
